DAY 1 - a]      Places we visit  today are norbulingka institute [ institute preserving arts  and crafts of tibet]

            b]     TASHIJONG MONASTERY [In 1958, having foreseen the imminent coming of the communist Chinese, the 8th Khamtrul Rinpoche, Kalzang Dongyu Nyima, left for India with a group of 16 monks and reincarnate lamas. In Eastern Tibet he had been the head of Khampagar Monastery, which had over 200 branch monasteries, nunneries and retreat centers. It was considered one of the foremost monasteries of the Drukpa Kagyü lineage. In India, they settled first in Kalimpong in West Bengal. In 1969, they moved to Himachal Pradesh in North India. There they settled in the peaceful Kangra valley on 37 acres of land, which was named Tashi Jong, Tibetan for Auspicious Valley]

           c] BIR TIBETAN VILLAGE [Bir Tibetan Colony is a Tibetan refugee settlement on the outskirts of the Himalayan village of Bir. Colony was established in the early 1960s following the exile of the Dalai Lama and other refugees from Tibet.The Tibetan Colony houses several Tibetan monasteries (representing the Nyingma, Kagyu, and Sakya traditions), a Tibetan handicraft center, a Tibetan Children's Village school (Suja), a branch of the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute (Men-Tsee-Khang), a medical clinic, and the Deer Park Institute. It is also home to a number of shops, cafés, and guest houses

           d] Finally the days final detination will be REWALSAR also known as TSOPEMA.[ Located
on a mountain spur, . With water, woodland and high hills, it presents a variety of natural beauty.  The spot is sacred for Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs.

There are three Buddhist monasteries at Rewalsar. Rewalsar has three Hindu temples which are dedicated to Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and to the sage Lomas.
It was from here that the great Indian teacher and `Tantric` Padmasambhava left for Tibet.

Over night at rewalsar.

                 e]next day we visit the padmasambhava caves above rewalsar then back to dharamsala 4/5 hrs.
